Publishing services for books small to large:
Publication Design Specialties has been the publisher for a number of book projects. We produced “Saturday Nights Were Special: The History of Hockey in Spokane” in 2001 and it was a HIT! (This book is in the process of an update.)
Our most recent project Is "TAKING FLIGHT: The INCREDIBLE story of Eastern Washington University football and its rise as a national power." It's a salute to the Eagles under-funded, but very successful program. Visit www.ewufootballbook.com for more info.
Being a publisher means more than just producing a book or publication. It also means finding a market.
PDS has been a successful marketer of special interest books and publications. We can produce that one-of-a-kind book, like the children’s book “Stumpy,” that may never have seen the shelves of a commercial book store, but was printed to realize the life-long dream of a local grandmother.
Or the compelling autobiography of Abe Ferris who chronicled his life-long battle — and VICTORY — with mental illness in “Manic Or Not, Here I Come.”
While print is largely overlooked these days, many still embrace it. Like the Landlord Association of the Inland Northwest which PDS has worked with since 1991 with its "Rental Review" membership magazine that is printed every two months.
One of our many “niche” publication efforts has come in the area of producing “memory books” for reunions. This is a lasting keepsake that should not be overlooked for a high school, family or military reunion.
PDS also produced the programs for such events as Spokane’s the late, great long-running Auto Boat Speed Show for a large portion of the nearly half-century run of the show.
